Sweet Hockey has teamed up with stickhandling master, Sean Skinner

(Minneapolis)-  March 25, 2009 -  Former NHL Hockey Player Lance Pitlick, founder of Sweet Hockey, is proud to announce the formation of a new joint venture with Skinner Hockey; Online Stickhandling.   Launching on March 15th, 2009 at the Let's Play Hockey Expo at the Minnesota State Hockey Tournament, Online Stickhandling is an extension of the core Sweet Hockey skills training concept.

Online Stickhandling takes a player through a progressive series of video training exercises and drills in an online environment; from basic stickhandling to moves used by elite Collegiate and NHL players. Training can be conveniently practiced in a player's own home and done at times that best accommodate their schedule.

Players subscribe to packages consisting of weekly training modules that are available in an on-demand video format.  After viewing a video, the  player can print off their lesson plan of drill exercises. Think of Online Stickhandling as a virtual hockey camp with expert one-on-one instruction.

With subscriptions starting at $19.99 to $99.99 for ten-week off-season summer sessions, Online Stickhandling provides an affordable alternative to individual lessons which can reach costs upwards of $150.00 - $200.00 per hour.  Team and association pricing is also available.

"This initiative is a natural extension to Stickhandling.com and Skinner Hockey," said Sean Skinner, Professional Skills Instructor, Hockey Consultant and  owner of Skinner Hockey.  "My company and Sweet Hockey have actively promoted each others' products for a number of years and partnering with Sweet Hockey takes an existing solid relationship to the next level."

"I am excited about launching this first phase of Online Stickhandling and am encouraged by the feedback for the possibilities of online training. Online Stickhandling enables us to deliver the hockey camp experience right to the players' homes."

Sweet Hockey founder and CEO Lance Pitlick said "There is nothing better than being on the ice with a kid that wants to get better. Online Stickhandling is designed for the player who is passionate about hockey and wants to improve their game."
